U9 Football Festival

Wednesday afternoon saw our first sporting festival of the year kick off with Derby High Primary hosting teams from Old Vicarage School and St Wystan’s School.

All the teams played against each other in a round robin league to determine the winners.  The afternoon kicked off with our two Derby High teams playing against each other in a competitive match where DHS A came out as winners thanks to an impressive display by Captain Emma M.  DHS A then played St Wystan’s with an emphatic 8-1 victory.  Our final match was against Old Vicarage, and was a festival decider, with both teams knowing that victory would mean they were crowned champions.  After a gutsy performance from DHS A, they unfortunately lost 4-0. It was a fantastic afternoon of football enjoyed by everyone involved.

Well done to both of our teams!
