School Site to Open on Tuesday 25th January

Our fabulous caretakers have been working throughout the day to clear paths and ensure the school site is as safe as possible for Wrens, Key Worker children and staff to return to the school site tomorrow. We understand that road conditions in some areas may still make travel difficult. Please only travel if safe to do so. If you decide you decide to keep your child at home tomorrow please let Mrs Tudor know (ktudor@derbyhigh.derby.sch.uk). Thank you.

School Site Closure Due to Snow - Monday 25th January 2021

We are very sorry confirm that the school site will be closed tomorrow, Monday 25th January for Wrens, key worker children and staff. We have been monitoring the situation all day as the snow has continued to fall. Our remote learning provision will continue as normal.

Senior High Notes 12th January 2021

In my Senior Assembly this morning I linked buffalos, a stick of rock and the Dr Seuss quote “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” At Derby High we celebrate and are thankful that there is such variety and diversity in our school community. Each and every one of us has different personalities, eye colour, hair and talents. Individuality is a fundamental concept of our humanity and life would be so dull if we were all the same. And yet, we are not just about being individuals, we form communities, live together, eat together, sit and sing together. Getting individuals together – togetherness - has massive benefits.
