Exciting News! Three Form Entry in Senior School in September 2021
It’s now three years since Derby High, an independent coeducational day school with 540 students, announced that it was welcoming boys into the Senior School, after 125 years of educating girls only from the age of 11. For the Primary pupils, co-education was something to which they were already well accustomed, with each year group from ages 3-11 having a mix of boys and girls.
The success of the decision to move to welcoming boys throughout was clear right from the beginning, with boys joining the Senior School both in Year 7 and the Sixth Form in 2019. Two years on, the school is expanding further, adding an additional form for pupils at age 11, in response to increased demand for places.
