Y6 Residential to France
Year 6 pupils had an unforgettable time in France last week and really impressed us with their enthusiasm, confidence and outstanding behaviour throughout the week.
The week began with a visit to a local school, where pupils had the chance to practise their French conversation, as well as enjoying a picnic and games with the French children. A visit to Amiens centred around a tour of the magnificent cathedral, learning about how it was protected during the First World War, before ordering an ice cream to enjoy in the square afterwards. The World War One experience day was full of interesting information, artefacts and real-life experiences as we visited different memorials and even walked through some original trenches.
In addition to all of this, there were many fun activities on offer at the Château, including low ropes, camo-tracking, a blind trail and pétanque. Pupils have said it was too hard to pick a highlight from the week as it was all amazing! Thank you to Year 6 for being excellent company and for embracing every opportunity throughout the week!
