Y3 Trip to Chester Zoo

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Chester Zoo, which formed part of their science unit of work titled  ‘Animals, including Humans’. The children attended an exciting workshop, where they examined animal skulls and then learnt about animal digestion by ‘travelling through’ a giraffe’s digestive system!

The Year 3 pupils were lucky to see elephants, giraffes, penguins and even a lion or two. However, one of the highlights of the trip was Mr Gould cowering and whimpering as he raced through the bat cave while the children bravely strolled on without a murmur.

The children were a credit to the school, displaying exemplary behaviour throughout the day and the adults accompanying them on the trip thoroughly enjoyed their time with them. In the words of one pupil, Emilie, “It was the best trip ever!”
