Senior House Tennis
On the beautiful sunny Monday and Tuesday this week (13th and 14th May), the House Tennis competition was finally played following the previous weeks’ rain storms! Each House had a 1st and 2nd pairing, with each pair playing matches against their respective pairs from the other Houses, with each match comprising of 5 games, with short deuces.
The first day of competition was well contested by all pairs who took part, with each George and David pairing dominating their matches, winning all of their games 5-0. It was really great to see a huge scope in year groups representing their Houses, from U3 all the way to U6, as well as the newly appointed House Captains supporting and taking part.
Day 2 of the event brought equally sunny weather, and fierce competition; where matches were a lot closer making for interesting watching. Once the games were complete it then all went down to the calculations of games won to work out the winning House.
Well done to everyone who took part and represented their House! St Andrew finished in 4th place, St Patrick in 3rd, St George in 2nd place and St David were the victorious House, with a huge total of 27 games won out of their 30 games played, across 6 matches - fantastic!
