It was with great excitement and anticipation that U3 set off for Carsington Water last Monday morning for a day of outdoor activities which included orienteering, raft building and cycling.
The girls rose to the challenges presented with persistence, resilience and good humour and enjoyed spending time together outside school, getting to know each other better and perhaps even making a few new friends. The weather was kind to us but we still managed to remember Mrs Driver’s “The wetter the better” saying; after all, that lake was very wet.
Here are a few highlights of the trip from the girls themselves:
“I really enjoyed Carsington because it made us step out of our comfort zone and do things we didn’t think we could.” Morgan
“It was the BEST TRIP EVER.” Bea
“The orienteering was really fun because we had to work together and collaborate.” Lottie
“It was such a lovely way to use our Thinking For Learning skills and widen our friendships.” Lia
