Living History Day for Year 6
Year 6 had a great day at Tatton Park to support their learning about World War II.
During the trip, they had experience of working on a farm as a farm hand, playing World War II games and toasting bread over a range. The children particularly enjoyed looking at the piglets and having a go at feeding the chickens although some got pecked!
After lunch they also had the chance to take part in an air raid and sing some World War II songs in the shelter. The fact that they were dressed like evacuees and land girls made it all the more historic!
