Upper Three have worked very hard in Design Technology since the start of the year in September. They have been making board games out of plastic and card and learning about different plastic processes such as vacuum forming and line bending. They have also used ICT successful to design and create their board. Their design brief was to design and make an educational board game for 8-11 year olds. They also had to use plastic and also include re-cycled plastics in their design.
This week they finished their board games and we went over to the Junior School Year 5 classes on Tuesday and Thursday to user test the games. The Year 5s loved playing them and they had to mark them based on a criteria from the design brief. I am pleased to announce that the most successful game was designed by Alice and Daisy in U32 who designed a fantastic game on the theme of girls in the Olympic Games.
Well done to all the Upper Threes on their hard work on this project and to the Year 5s for their involvement.
