Now welcoming boys into the Senior School

The Senior School at Derby High has traditionally given some of the brightest girls in Derbyshire the opportunity of an excellent education.  A positive and highly supportive environment in which to learn, grow and realise their potential.

The opportunity of a Derby High Senior Education is now being extended to boys, who will be welcomed into Years 7 and 12 from September 2019.

Our ethos will not change; we will maintain our small class sizes, excellent standards of teaching and unrivalled pastoral care.  We will seek to retain our position as the leading school in Derby at both GCSE and A Level.  Our extra curricular opportunities will be expanded to ensure that the needs of both boys and girls are met and, where necessary, our excellent facilities will be adapted to reflect our new co-educational status.

If you have previously considered an independent education for your son but could not find quite the right environment for them then why not come and take a look at Derby High?  Similarly, if you are left uninspired by your son's choices for either his senior or sixth form education then do consider what a Derby High education could mean for your family.

We will be welcoming families to visit and see Derby High in action at our Open Morning on Friday 16th November.  Then, at the end of November (on Tuesday 27th) there will be an additional opportunity for boys currently in Year 5 and Year 6 to spend a day in our Senior School - experiencing subject teaching and extra curricular sessions 'Derby High style'!  For further information about either of these opportunities to get to know Derby High better please contact Miss Sue Callaghan, our Registrar, on: 01332 514267 / admissions@derbyhigh.derby.sch.uk
